Week 11 Start 'Em/Sit 'Em

I probably should have mentioned last week that my "predicted points" amounts that I give at the end of my predicted stats are based off of ESPN standard scoring. And with that, here is my Week 11 Start 'Em/Sit 'Em:

QB

Start Russell Wilson - Russell Wilson has quietly enjoyed a very good sophomore season for the Seahawks. This week he is my safest pick to have a very good game. Wilson isn't going to throw for Brees and Manning type numbers, but he doesn't turn the ball over and he's very consistent. You can't really go wrong with the young quarterback.

Predicted Stats - 22/29, 235 yards, 2 TD, 29 yards rushing - 20.3 points

Sit Andrew Luck - This is an extremely tough sit for me because I have Luck on my fantasy team. Luck has had a great season so far but this week he goes up against the Titans and a defense that has been very good against the pass. With The Colts running game lacking over the last few weeks, I expect Luck to throw drop back to pass a lot. The lack of a run game will also make it easy on the defense to rush the passer and run tight coverage since the know the pass will be coming. Luck and his receivers could be in for a rough evening.

Predicted Stats - 28/51, 248 yards, 1 TD, 2 Int, 12 yards rushing - 11.12 points

RB

Start Andre Ellington - The entire fantasy nation is screaming out for Bruce Arians to free Andre Ellington and give him the starting running back job. Arians however is still declaring Rashard Mendenhall the starter and for now Ellington is still the number two. That won't matter this week as Ellington should get around 20 touches against a terrible Jacksonville defense. Ellington can, and will, do a bit of everything en route to a nice day.

Predicted Stats - 73 yards, 1 TD, 6 rec, 55 yards, 1 TD - 24.8 points

Sit Matt Forte - My "close my eyes and hope it works" pick this week is Matt Forte. Last week I told you to sit Jason Witten after a huge game and it worked out well so here goes another. Forte is definitely one of the top five running backs in the NFL and can do many things for the offense. He goes up against a Baltimore defense this week that has been quietly very good. In fact, Baltimore has allowed the second least fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. My predicted stats would be solid for most running backs but you expect more from Forte which is why he's a sit this week.

Predicted Stats - 71 yards, 3 rec, 22 yards - 9.3 points

WR

Start Pierre Garçon - When thinking of the top receivers in the NFL you don't often think of Pierre Garçon, but you should. After a somewhat slow few weeks, Garçon and RGIII have been firing on all cylinders as of late. Garçon is great in PPR leagues and has been racking up the yards lately as well. This week he faces the Eagles who have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Should be a big day for Garçon.

Predicted Stats - 6 rec, 118 yards, 1 TD - 17.8 points

Sit T.Y. Hilton - See: Luck, Andrew. Hilton will most likely be matched up against one of the top corners in the NFL Alterraun Verner, which won't help his production.

Predicted Stats - 4 rec, 51 yards - 5.1 points

TE

Start Antonio Gates - Last week I was hoping Tim Wright would take advantage of a Dolphins defense that has given up a lot of points to opposing tight ends. However, he let me down and had one catch. This week I'm picking Antonio Gates to do what I had hoped Wright would do. Gates is still a top tight end and his partnership with Phillip Rivers has been one of the best over the last few years. Look for Gates to get in the end zone at least once this week.

Predicted Stats - 7 rec, 79 yards, 1 TD - 13.9 points

Sit Vernon Davis - Vernon Davis was knocked out of last week's game with a concussion. It looks like he is going to play this week, but don't expect much from him. Even if Davis is able to last the whole game, he will still have to battle against The Saints defense that has given up the fifth least fantasy points to opposing tight ends. Rob Ryan has his defense playing very well and if Davis plays he will undoubtedly be marked all game.

Predicted Stats - 2 rec, 44 yards - 4.4 points
