It was an interesting Week 11 and hopefully your team got a win. Here's how my Start 'Em/Sit 'Em picks faired:
QB
Start Russell Wilson - I predicted Russell Wilson would be a very safe pick and he was just that. Another typical game for the Seahawks quarterback. He manages games very well and doesn't turn the ball over, which is all you can ask for from your quarterback. I almost predicted the exact amount of points for Wilson so this will be a win. Wilson could have had a much better day but he was pulled late when the game was already won.
Predicted Stats - 22/29, 235 yards, 2 TD, 29 yards rushing - 20.3 points
Actual Stats - 13/18, 230 yards, 2 TD, 14 yards rushing - 18.6 points
Sit Andrew Luck - Luck went up against a very tough Tennessee defense that limited him to zero passing touchdowns. He did not have a good game like I predicted. However, he was able to score one rushing touchdown which boosted his points. If not for that rushing touchdown, I would have almost predicted his point total exactly. For that this pick is a wash.
Predicted Stats - 28/51, 248 yards, 1 TD, 2 Int, 12 yards rushing - 11.12 points
Actual Stats - 23/36, 232 yards, 31 yards rushing, 1 TD - 18.38 points
RB
Start Andre Ellington - Andre Ellington is the pick that I am most disappointed about and most puzzled about. I really thought he would have a fantastic day against the porous Jacksonville defense. He was essentially invisible the entire game and his only highlight was when he had one if his dreads ripped out. Definitely taking a loss on this pick.
Predicted Stats - 73 yards, 1 TD, 6 rec, 55 yards, 1 TD - 24.8 points
Actual Stats - 3 yards rushing, 1 rec, 10 yards - 1.3 points
Sit Matt Forte - Sitting Forte was definitely my biggest reach of the week and it didn't work out to say the least. I thought Forte would struggle against the Baltimore defense but he had a very good day all around. This one goes down as another loss.
Predicted Stats - 71 yards, 3 rec, 22 yards - 9.3 points
Actual Stats - 83 yards rushing, 5 rec, 42 yards, 1 TD - 18.5 points
WR
Start Pierre Garçon - Pierre Garçon had a solid game but not as good as I thought he would have. Six receptions for 68 yards is a respectable day and solid points in PPR leagues, but was just average in standard leagues which is why I take a loss on this pick.
Predicted Stats - 6 rec, 118 yards, 1 TD - 17.8 points
Actual Stats - 6 rec, 68 yards, 9 yards rushing - 7.7 points
Sit T.Y. Hilton - Hilton fell to the same fate as Andrew Luck, matched up against one if the better pass defenses in the NFL. I nearly predicted his point total exactly, his struggles equal a win for my prediction.
Predicted Stats - 4 rec, 51 yards - 5.1 points
Actual Stats - 5 rec, 44 yards - 4.4 points
TE
Start Antonio Gates - Gates had a good day and almost had the amount of production I predicted. It was the type of stat line we expect from Gates and he would have had a second touchdown if not for an illegal forward pass penalty called against Phillip Rivers. Solid day equals a win.
Predicted Stats - 7 rec, 79 yards, 1 TD - 13.9 points
Actual Stats - 4 rec, 52 yards, 1 TD - 11.2 points
Sit Vernon Davis - Take away the touchdown and Davis did not have a good day. The six fantasy points definitely took his day from bad to okay, and gave him more than predicted. This pick is a wash and not a loss due to his low receptions and yardage.
Predicted Stats - 2 rec, 44 yards - 4.4 points
Actual Stats - 4 rec, 33 yards, 1 TD - 9.3 points
Week 11 was an average week for my predictions, three wins, three losses and two washes. I took a few chances with Forte, Luck and Ellington and they didn't pan out but expect some more bold picks for Week 12.
